The Radiotherapy and Hemodialysis Center in Granollers, Spain, designed by BAAS Arquitectura and CASA Solo, was completed in 2023. The facility, part of a local healthcare network, aims to offer day treatments, reducing the need for travel to Barcelona.
Its design features two central patios, ensuring abundant natural light and a welcoming atmosphere. The façade is crafted from ceramic brick slats, providing an opaque exterior that balances privacy with light control. The ground floor houses radiotherapy treatments, while the upper level, accessible via an interior garden, contains hemodialysis rooms, promoting a healing environment through natural light and ventilation.

The interior layout maximizes comfort and efficiency, with radiotherapy services strategically placed for easy access and privacy. Hemodialysis rooms are designed to offer patients views of the garden, enhancing the therapeutic environment. The use of natural materials and thoughtful design elements reflects the center’s commitment to creating a supportive and non-clinical atmosphere for patients.

The Radiotherapy and Hemodialysis Center stands as a model of modern healthcare architecture, prioritizing patient well-being through innovative design and functionality. Its thoughtful integration of natural light, privacy, and accessibility ensures a positive impact on patient care and experience.
