Renzo Piano Building Workshop is an international architecture practice founded in 1981 by Italian architect Renzo Piano and is known for bold, human-centred design that has shaped landmark cultural, public and mixed use buildings around the world. Based in Genoa, Italy and Paris, France the firm brings together a team of partners and architects to realise projects that explore the dialogue between structure, environment and human experience with an emphasis on craft innovation and sustainability. Over its decades of work RPBW has completed iconic buildings such as The Shard in London and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York while maintaining a collaborative workshop ethos that responds thoughtfully to context and place.
